The Nobel Peace Prize or the Ultra Progressive Liberal of the Year Award?

I think I have seen it all now, for Obama to have been nominated for this years award, that would have been done just 12 days after his inauguration! Does this seem a bit fishy to anyone but me?

Here is the quote, from the NobelPrize.org site, “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples”, so, how in the heck is this possible?

I believe that it is just following a pattern,  Theodore Roosevelt (1906) and Woodrow Wilson (1919) and Jimmy Carter (2002), Roosevelt and Wilson were before my time, but Jimmy Carter was the President when I was a kid, and I lived through the effects, high unemployment, Iran walking all over us, etc, much like Obama is delivering, but, at least  Jimmy Carter was out of office over 20 years when he got his!

Maybe they should rename the Nobel Peace Prize? Maybe it should be called the Ultra Progressive Liberal of the Year Award? Maybe the NobelPrize folks can see the future? If that is the case, then it should be called the Presidents that trashed America Award? After all, Ronald Reagan only won the Cold War and brought down the wall, what does that have to do with Peace? Ronald Reagan made America strong, so, that disqualifies him. As far as I am concerned, this Nobel Peace Prize is just a joke, and so is Obama, they go together pretty good, kind of like shit and stink!
