I am sure that you remember what happened at the Columbine High School in Colorado, I just received this from a friend in an email. who asked me to post it here, heck, this is one of those things I would have posted even if I wasn’t asked. I hope everyone reads this, it is a good one!

Guess our national leaders didn’t expect this, hmm? On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary committee’s subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful.

They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness. The following is a portion of the transcript:

Since the dawn of creation there has been both good and evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

“The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain’s heart.

“In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA – because I don’t believe that they are responsible for my daughter’s death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended.. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel’s murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy — it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You’ve stripped away our heritage,
You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question “Why?”
You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed..
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc.. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation’s history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine’s tragedy occurs — politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts.

As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person jn America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA — I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter’s death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!”

Do what the media did not – - let the nation hear this man’s speech.. Please send this out to everyone you can.

Update from U.S. Senator John Cornyn

Wednesday, April 15, 2009

With so many complex issues facing our nation, I was grateful for the opportunity to return to Texas to meet with people across the state and listen to their concerns about what is happening in Washington, how these issues affect them and what common-sense ideas they have for how best to address them.

Just before recess, the Senate passed President Obama’s budget without any bipartisan support. Along with all of my Republican colleagues, I voted against the budget that spends too much, taxes too much and borrows too much. The budget represents a missed opportunity for Congress to put policies in place that will encourage economic recovery, foster opportunities for Texans and all Americans, and prevent future generations from inheriting insurmountable debt.

One of the most disturbing aspects of the President’s budget is his proposal to limit the deduction for charitable contributions, which could cost charities and non-profit organizations nationwide anywhere from $4 billion to $9 billion annually. Last week I hosted a roundtable in Austin, where I met with representatives from local non-profit organizations at Meals on Wheels and More to hear their concerns about the President’s proposal. While I worked with both Senate Democrats and Republicans to reject the President’s proposal during the budget debate earlier this month, this does not mean Congress will not consider the President’s proposal in the future. Given today’s economic climate and with so many Americans hurting and in need of assistance, we should instead encourage charitable giving.

The economic downturn has led to greater demand for charitable services and placed a strain of many of these organizations already operating on limited resources. Homeless shelters across the state have seen a marked increase in the number of people seeking help. This week in Fort Worth, I am meeting with Mayor Mike Moncrief and other local officials who have been successful in reducing homelessness in their community. I hope to learn the keys to their success and share that with other cities and communities throughout Texas.

While Americans participate in the annual practice of filling out their federal taxes, I’m looking forward to meeting with the Texas Sunset Advisory Commission Chair and Vice-Chair at the State Capitol in Austin to discuss our shared goal of stamping out government waste. I will be announcing introduction of my legislation to help save more of taxpayers’ hard-earned money. In Congress, I’ve been working to create a Federal Sunset Commission, based on the successful Texas model, that would improve government accountability and help ensure our tax dollars are spent efficiently. Congress moved a step closer to establishing this important body when the Senate recently passed an amendment I sponsored that lays the groundwork for a Federal Sunset Commission to eliminate government waste and increase oversight of ineffective programs.

On Friday I am joining Admiral Mike Mullen, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, at Fort Sam Houston to visit our nation’s wounded warriors receiving medical care at the Warrior and Family Support Center. These brave soldiers and their families have sacrificed so much for our nation, and I look forward to thanking them for their exemplary service. The Warrior and Family Support Center plays a vital role in treating both the visible and invisible injuries that our soldiers face as a result of their service, and we must continue to ensure the needs of our servicemen and women are adequately met as they recover from their injuries and return home. I recently reintroduced legislation that would authorize construction of a VA hospital for veterans in the Rio Grande Valley, who currently have to drive hours out of their way to receive medical treatment. Service members and veterans in Texas and across our nation have earned access to the high-quality medical treatment through their enormous sacrifices for our nation.

Dear David,Vice President Joe Biden said during the 2008 campaign that it is patriotic for Americans to pay more in taxes. Since taking over control of Washington, the Obama Democrats have decided we should all be more “patriotic” having passed or proposed more than $5 trillion in new spending and $1.4 trillion in new taxes.

I don’t know about you, David, but I don’t believe there is anything patriotic about giving more of your hard-earned money to the government to bankroll the liberal Democrats’ agenda to increase spending to record levels, change the tax code to redistribute the wealth of working families, and destroy the savings of millions of middle-class Americans.

So on this Tax Day, April 15, the Republican National Committee is asking you, along with hundreds of thousands of grassroots activists across our country, to assert a real patriotic act by sending a virtual tea bag to Barack Obama, Joe Biden, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and the rest of the tax, spend and borrow Democrats. Let them know enough is enough and you don’t approve of their plan to pass the largest tax hike in American history.

And when you send your virtual tea bag today, I hope you will also take this opportunity to make a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 to the RNC today to help fund our efforts to resist the massive tax and spending increases Barack Obama and the Pelosi-Reid Democrats are attempting to ram through Congress.

The $1.4 trillion in higher taxes is just the tip of the iceberg for the Democrats. The proposed cap and trade program on carbon emissions Obama wants would impose at least $646 billion in new energy taxes — $3,100 for every American family a year. And the President wants to raise taxes on small businesses — the very engine that provides 75% of our economic growth.

David, Americans will pay more in taxes this year than they will spend on food, clothing and housing combined and it is still not enough for Barack Obama and the liberal Democrats. Let them know you already pay enough in taxes by sending them a virtual tea bag by clicking here.

And when you do, please also make a secure online contribution of $25, $50, $100, $500 or $1,000 to the RNC today to fight the Democrats’ efforts to take advantage of America’s present economic difficulties to force through their reckless agenda.

Your participation in this project is vital to holding the Obama Democrats accountable for their destructive higher tax and spending policies. Please send your virtual tea bag today. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Ballistic missiles in the hands of rogue states, potentially armed with weapons of mass destruction, remain one of the most serious security threats of the 21st century. Change of administrations in Washington does not change this strategic imperative: Free nations must defend themselves from ballistic missile attack through robust and layered missile defense capabilities.

North Korea’s launch continues a ballistic missile development program that is now four decades old, and which many believe is the most advanced in the developing world. North Korea’s Taepo Dong-2 long-range missile has the potential capability to strike Hawaii, Alaska and possibly the West Coast of the United States.

Many observers agree that North Korea has proliferated elements of its missile program, along with those of its nuclear program, and has helped accelerate development of dangerous capabilities in Iran and other nations. Iran’s capabilities, in turn, could threaten all our allies in Europe, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East, including Israel.

Despite the growing risk, the new U.S. administration seems determined to scale back our missile defense capabilities and leave us and our allies more vulnerable.

On the same day that North Korea tested its new capabilities, President Barack Obama announced that America’s capabilities would be subject to new restrictions. He said in Prague that our missile defense partnership with NATO, including a tracking radar to be based on Czech soil, would go forward only if it is cost-effective and proven, and if the threat from Iran persists. These qualifications may seem reasonable, yet they signal unreasonable cutbacks throughout our missile defense program.

The next day, Defense Secretary Robert Gates made clear which U.S. missile defense capabilities meet the administration’s new standards. Approved for more funding are the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, the Standard Missile 3 program, and the conversion of six Aegis cruisers for missile defense.

Defunded or delayed are the Multiple Kill Vehicle program, the Airborne Laser program and additional ground-based interceptors in Alaska. Overall, the administration plans to cut funding for missile defense by nearly $1.5 billion, or about 15 percent.

Reading between the lines, we can see the new administration’s priorities. They recognize our proven but limited capability to destroy missiles in the midcourse and terminal stages of flight, yet they resist developing new technologies that would defeat such missiles much earlier, in the critical boost phase. In Europe, what they haven’t left out of the budget they seem eager to give away at the negotiating table.

And while trillions of dollars in domestic spending are justified as economic stimulus, new defenses against ballistic missiles – built right here in America – must overcome much higher hurdles from the budgetary bean counters.

FIXING THE PRIORITIES

The administration has set the wrong priorities, partly because it takes too lightly the growing missile threat from rogue states, but mostly because it has failed to recognize three crucial developments over the past 25 years.

First, new technologies have proved the skeptics wrong. During the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan’s vision of defenses against ballistic missiles was dismissed as science fiction. Today, our nation has deployed ground-based interceptors, early warning satellites, land- and sea-based radars, and an integrated command, control, battle management and communications infrastructure. Together these components give us an emergency capability against a limited long-range ballistic missile attack, yet each of them, decades ago, was merely an “unproven” technology.

Research, development and deployment of today’s unproven technologies are the key to improving our defenses in the decades to come.

Second, the administration seems unaware of the sea change in international public opinion on the issue of missile defense. At the close of the 20th century, our allies and friends were still very skeptical of missile defense. Yet, consistent and patient diplomacy by the Bush administration changed all that. Today, our nation has cooperative agreements on missile defense with the United Kingdom, Denmark, Italy, Japan and Australia.

We are working with Poland and the Czech Republic to give NATO a missile defense capability, and with Israel to improve its defenses against medium-range rockets. India, France and many other nations have expressed interest in cooperating with us on these technologies. Cutting back on U.S. missile defense capabilities makes no sense when so many allies and friends want to deepen their cooperation with us.

Third, support for U.S. missile defenses now crosses partisan lines. Five of my colleagues, including Independent Joe Lieberman and Democrat Mark Begich, wrote President Obama following his administration’s proposed funding cuts for missile defense. They urged him to reconsider these recommendations and to continue development of an integrated, layered defense against the ballistic missile threat.

I share my colleagues’ concerns, as do millions of Americans across the political spectrum. The president has inspired so many with his vision of crossing ideological divides to pursue common, long-term objectives. Building the infrastructure of missile defense presents a tremendous opportunity to make that vision a reality.

President Obama, like every commander in chief, must make difficult choices to protect our people, advance freedom and defend our strategic interests. I applaud his surge of forces in Afghanistan and appreciate the additional defense capabilities he appears willing to fund. Yet I will oppose any cuts to missile defenses, and to any program that gives us a fighting chance to deter and defeat the security threats of the 21st century.

I am sorry to spoil it for you folks gushing goo over Super Obama, but, a little birdy told me a little bit different story, one that we all will find out about in the near future if it is accurate.

I heard that an “Admiral” , maybe the one praising Obama after it was all over, will be retiring soon, because it was he that not only ordered the SEAL team in from Iraq, but authorized the kill! Sorry, but from the story I heard, Mr Obama was still hiding under his desk like he has for the last week! This Admiral finally said do it, and it was done! We will see soon I imagine, keep your ears open for news about “retiring” Admirals, my little birdie may just be right!

As far as I am concerned there is but one hero in this story, Captain Richard Phillips, anyone, and everyone else, just did their job! Don’t believe me, ask them!

Obama, while answering questions about U.S. Relations with Muslims, he said “maybe we should put the mothers in charge”, I bet that went over real well! If you don’t “get it”, I will explain.

This comment just shows how little President Obama actually knows about this subject, why? Do you remember seeing how the Taliban were treating women? Do you wonder why the Muslim women have to wear a burkha? Why the women were not allowed to go to school? Why these countries that have Sharia law are so opposed to the U.S.? It is because we believe in equal rights and freedom for everybody, not just men!

By saying that maybe the mothers should be in charge, he is saying that these male dominant societies should be, in their minds, reduced to following a woman. That sounds like an insult to me!

Like it or not, any place that requires a woman to cover herself up, completely, due to their religion, and thousands of years of history, is not likely to appreciate what he said, I just wonder if anyone else will catch it, so that they can spin it into being some sort of “innocent” accident, you do remember the reactions to the cartoons showing Mohammed?

While this guy has been asleep. or whatever, and I have been sitting here, watching the news, waiting for his reply. his briefing to us, the people, and this is it! Come on! The very “soft Spoken” method, confuses no one! The teleprompter speaks again, this time without its mouthpiece! Sorry, but my alarm-clock says more!

This is probably the only time that I will ever, in my lifetime, if I live to be 500, write to the President, ,,,, Mr President,….. please,,,,, have the energy,,,, have the heart, ,,,have the whatever it takes, ,,to stay up,,,,, all night with those of us that are watching that is, if you are worried, not about us, but the country, as we are,… is this more important to us,…. than it is to you? .. We do not sleep, we wait for you, for you to tell us that it is ok, when we do not hear from you, well, you get the point! We could care Less about Europe, We are AMERICANS and we want you, to LEAD AMERICA, excuse my french but **** them! America is number one, or, it is Not yours to lead! When you worry more about the EU than us, guess where your problems lie? Math is simple, if you let it be!

I thank the BNO Newsroom for being the only source at this time of day, it gives me something to do!

From the BNO Newsroom.

Prague, CZECH REPUBLIC (BNO NEWS) – “North Korea’s development and proliferation of ballistic missile technology pose a threat to the northeast Asian region and to international peace and security. The launch today of a Taepo-dong 2 missile was a clear violation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1718, which expressly prohibits North Korea from conducting ballistic missile-related activities of any kind. With this provocative act, North Korea has ignored its international obligations, rejected unequivocal calls for restraint, and further isolated itself from the community of nations.

We will immediately consult with our allies in the region, including Japan and the Republic of Korea, and members of the U.N. Security Council to bring this matter before the Council. I urge North Korea to abide fully by the resolutions of the U.N. Security Council and to refrain from further provocative actions.

Preventing the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and their means of delivery is a high priority for my administration. The United States is fully committed to maintaining security and stability in northeast Asia and we will continue working for the verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula through the Six-Party Talks. The Six-Party Talks provide the forum for achieving denuclearization, reducing tensions, and for resolving other issues of concern between North Korea, its four neighbors, and the United States. North Korea has a pathway to acceptance in the international community, but it will not find that acceptance unless it abandons its pursuit of weapons of mass destruction and abides by its international obligations and commitments.”

That is kind of like saying, ‘well, he did it, now what do we do?’ Are there no leaders left in the world? Here is the kicker, Mexico’s ambassador is the one in the barrel this month! Oh boy, can we talk about the illegals while this meeting is going on? I feel so safe, had that been a nuke, it would have been like way too late, something would have been glowing by now! If the world is going to follow Mexico’s lead, we are done for! What are they going to do, send aome illegals to take over North Korea? Read the story below, that is Comrade Obama’s Statement.

Here is an excerpt from FoxNews.

UNITED NATIONS — The U.N. Security Council approved an emergency session Sunday to deal with North Korea’s rocket launch.

So, now what?

Diplomats at the U.N. say the U.S., Britain, France and South Korea already have begun discussing a possible Security Council resolution to reaffirm its existing sanctions on North Korea.

Is anybody out there? Hello, what was that loud bang? Oh look, my doggy just melted! Come on people, another resolution? Like did the last one work? It is a bit like sending a pedophile to prison and rehab, IT WILL NOT WORK! What was it, 17 U.N. Resolutions before we actually had the balls to take out Saddam? Can anybody see the pattern here but me?

I have made this next segment of the quote above bold, so that you can read it in its full context, “I urge North Korea to abide fully by the resolutions of the U.N. Security Council and to refrain from further provocative actions.” What? Obama URGES North Korea? I guess Biden was right? Maybe they already had this worked out?

I am sorry, if I had been the Commander in Chief, and had told North Korea, the same words that Obama did before, what was it? Something about an at of aggression? I would have been forced to keep my word, in other words, That fat, perverted, North Korean Bastard would now be Barbecue! Between us, South Korea and Japan, we could have smoked that half of the continent, and made some growing room for South Korea! After all, what are the Chinese going to say, we now owe them TRILLIONS of dollars! That would be like a dope dealer killing a junkie, they wouldn’t get paid if we were at war! Now, that is diplomacy!
