If you were watching the news, back before days of the last presidential campaigns, before the housing bubble burst, due to Fannie and Freddie forcing banks to loan money to those that shouldn’t have gotten it, back when the Iraq war was on everyone’s mind, and finding Osama, and WMDs, were the only things being discussed, then you were like most, taking our economy and low unemployment for granted, but, what happened?
The clock was ticking, and Bush was at the end of his presidency and the liberals were beginning to start talking about Hillary, the Republicans were in disarray and the future was a bit bleak for them. Then, the new kid, someone who no one knew anything about, Barack Obama hit the seen, and suddenly, everything was different, that housing bubble was bursting, and the issues were changing, and the economy was getting ready to take a serious dive, but, what was it, that pushed it over the edge? FEAR!
Yes, it was fear, but fear of what? Was it fear that the liberals were about to take over? Was it fear that life as it had been was about to change? Was it fear, that the artificially over-priced housing market was about to reset, as it should? Or maybe, the final straw was that those that had a clue, could see that Obama was going to be elected, and that he, the most liberal senator, quite probably would do things that would cause our country to look completely different when he took over? Was it that some people, actually listened to the things that Obama said, and could see through his lies? I contend that it was all of the above, and then some, it was the fear of the unknown!
