Want to get a look at the angry soul, who thought leaving a threatening note on the door of a politician he disagreed with was a super-smart idea?
To recap, this past Sunday, someone left a note on Nevada Senator Dean Heller’s office door, and while authorities are declining to release the exact contents of the letter, the basic gist was, “If you take away my healthcare, you’ll die.”
I don’t care who you are. If you threaten an elected official with violence, not only is healthcare the least of your worries, but you’re the last one who needs to be commenting on any vital issues of national importance.
From the Nevada Independent:
The incident occurred on Sunday at 9:06 a.m., the police reported. “The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received a call from an alarm company representative reporting a burglary alarm at the main entrance of an office building where Senator Dean Heller’s office is located,” the police statement said. “The preliminary investigation by patrol officers determined that a burglary did not occur to the main building or to Senator Heller’s office. However, a threatening note addressed to Senator Heller was discovered near the door to his office. Officers took a report for Threatening or Obscene Letters or Writing (NRS 207.180). The LVMPD has an on-going investigation into this incident.”
Heller is considered a pivotal swing vote on health care. He has raised questions about the loss of Medicaid funding, as has Gov. Brian Sandoval. But neither, as of this writing, have come out against the bill.
Earlier today, President Trump sat next to Heller and attempted to pressure him on the bill, saying to others in the room, “He wants to remain a senator, doesn’t he?”
Heller’s seat is said to be one that is vulnerable and what goes on with the Obamacare replacement vote could be key to retaining his position.
Las Vegas Police released a video of a man they’re referring to as a “person of interest” in the case.
So does anybody recognize him?
It’s not a smart move on his part. If you put aside that it’s just not what rational people do, what sort of planning did he put into entering a government building and not considering that there may be cameras everywhere?
He deserves to be caught.
