Kim Jong Un, the fat little psychopath with really bad hair who terrorizes North Korea, topped off a glorious “Day of the Sun” celebration by blowing up yet another of his missiles on the launch pad.
A North Korean ballistic missile “blew up almost immediately” after it was fired on Sunday morning, U.S. military officials said, less than a day after leader Kim Jong Un paraded a never-before-seen long-range ballistic missile through the streets of Pyongyang.
The missile was launched at 5:51 a.m. Seoul time from Sinpo, a site on North Korea’s east coast where it has a shipyard and last year claimed it tested a submarine-launched ballistic missile, said Cmdr. Dave Benham, a spokesman for U.S. Pacific Command in Hawaii.
The administration issued probably the most laconic statement ever:
Mattis:“The president and his military team are aware of North Korea’s most recent unsuccessful missile launch. [He] has no further comment”

If you’ll recall, back in early March, as part of their “Obama was really on the ball” campaign, some Obama administration holdovers in the administration leaked to the New York Times a secret program that had been responsible for North Korean missiles blowing up:
Three years ago, President Barack Obama ordered Pentagon officials to step up their cyber and electronic strikes against North Korea’s missile program in hopes of sabotaging test launches in their opening seconds.
Soon a large number of the North’s military rockets began to explode, veer off course, disintegrate in midair and plunge into the sea. Advocates of such efforts say they believe that targeted attacks have given American antimissile defenses a new edge and delayed by several years the day when North Korea will be able to threaten American cities with nuclear weapons launched atop intercontinental ballistic missiles.
This makes two North Korean missiles in as many months that have blown up at launch. On March 4, North Korea launched a volley of four missiles toward the Sea of Japan. Only three of those made it to their destination.
North Korea is Iran’s premier supplier of ballistic missiles and Iranian missiles have a fairly high failure rate, too.
