A sign of the times, Ft Hood should be a wake up call!

Every day, it seems, there is something new, something happens that just makes me wanna barf! If it’s not Nancy Pelosi, or our “President” doing something to destroy our country, it is the lack of doing something that will do the same. With all of the info they have on that terrorist at Ft Hood, and that is exactly what he is, why won’t anyone call it that?
Why is it that the progressives are so obsessed with passing the health care bill? Why is it that these people will not listen to the people that are supposed to be in charge? We The People, are the ones that should decide, why not hve a vote, of and by the people to make a big decision like that, maybe state by state, there are 50 states, so, if it comes out 25 states for aand 25 against, then its over! If it comes out 26 for and 24 against, its over and that means it passes, or, just let it be a national vote, by the people. I say get rid of all of the idiots in Washington, vote them out, rid our country of this “progressive” disease!
Back to the terrorist at Ft Hood, why is the military so politically correct, I say it is simple, if a gay guy wants in, let him in, but also let it be at his own risk, when I was in, we weren’t very nice to them, and guess what, they didn’t want in, because they knew they would get picked on, problem solved. Just like with the gay guys, if a muslim wants in, let them, but don’t be surprised when the rest of the people beat them up and make them want out, simple, just don’t make everything a hate crime, that is rediculous! Boys will be boys, now, you get in trouble for it! It is a natural thing, birds of a feather flock together, if a pidgeon tries to get with a buzzard, the pidgeon will get eaten, that is life!
I am so sick of all of this PC crap, speak your mind, and remove the penelty for doing so, it is my mouth, if I want to say something, it is my business and those that I am speaking to, no body else. Just like this site, if you don’t like what I write, post a comment and say so! Vent, let it out! That is what is missing in America now! We used to go to the bar, get drunk, get in a fight, and if the cops een were called, they just broke up the fight and sent everybody home. Now, if you even had one beer, and an idiot pisses you off, and you tell him he is an idiot, you end up in jail! Yet, they let terrorists in the military, yep, that is a sign of the times! We must take our country back, Vote the Assholes out! Hopefully, if they can manage to stop this health care crap, it will never happen again!
Americans are finally waking up, and unless we all get shut down with some new rule where they take over the internet, and get rid of conservative talk radio and tv, then maybe the next president will be worthy of his office! I’m sorry, I used to be somewhat of a moderate, now, I am a Conservative all the way! Yeah, I think pot should be legal for medical purposes, but other than that, we need to fix the border problems, we need to clean out the “muslim extremists”, pack them up, send them where ever, I don’t care. In fact, any of the groups that want to destroy America should be run out of the country, like the progressives, send them to Europe, let them see what its like, I lived there and it sucks! Stand up America, vote out the bad guys, vote in the good guys, lets clean up this mess that snuck up on us while we were busy working within the system that we didn’t notice was changing! It is time to realize that the sign of the times can be changed, VOTE in 2010!

21st Century Threats
‘Unproven Technology’ Lays Basis for Missile Defense
The following op-ed ran in today’s edition of the Defense News, which can be accessed here.
On April 5, North Korea launched a missile – and sent the world a wake-up call.
Ballistic missiles in the hands of rogue states, potentially armed with weapons of mass destruction, remain one of the most serious security threats of the 21st century. Change of administrations in Washington does not change this strategic imperative: Free nations must defend themselves from ballistic missile attack through robust and layered missile defense capabilities.
North Korea’s launch continues a ballistic missile development program that is now four decades old, and which many believe is the most advanced in the developing world. North Korea’s Taepo Dong-2 long-range missile has the potential capability to strike Hawaii, Alaska and possibly the West Coast of the United States.
Many observers agree that North Korea has proliferated elements of its missile program, along with those of its nuclear program, and has helped accelerate development of dangerous capabilities in Iran and other nations. Iran’s capabilities, in turn, could threaten all our allies in Europe, Central and South Asia, and the Middle East, including Israel.
Despite the growing risk, the new U.S. administration seems determined to scale back our missile defense capabilities and leave us and our allies more vulnerable.
On the same day that North Korea tested its new capabilities, President Barack Obama announced that America’s capabilities would be subject to new restrictions. He said in Prague that our missile defense partnership with NATO, including a tracking radar to be based on Czech soil, would go forward only if it is cost-effective and proven, and if the threat from Iran persists. These qualifications may seem reasonable, yet they signal unreasonable cutbacks throughout our missile defense program.
The next day, Defense Secretary Robert Gates made clear which U.S. missile defense capabilities meet the administration’s new standards. Approved for more funding are the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense system, the Standard Missile 3 program, and the conversion of six Aegis cruisers for missile defense.
Defunded or delayed are the Multiple Kill Vehicle program, the Airborne Laser program and additional ground-based interceptors in Alaska. Overall, the administration plans to cut funding for missile defense by nearly $1.5 billion, or about 15 percent.
Reading between the lines, we can see the new administration’s priorities. They recognize our proven but limited capability to destroy missiles in the midcourse and terminal stages of flight, yet they resist developing new technologies that would defeat such missiles much earlier, in the critical boost phase. In Europe, what they haven’t left out of the budget they seem eager to give away at the negotiating table.
And while trillions of dollars in domestic spending are justified as economic stimulus, new defenses against ballistic missiles – built right here in America – must overcome much higher hurdles from the budgetary bean counters.
FIXING THE PRIORITIES
The administration has set the wrong priorities, partly because it takes too lightly the growing missile threat from rogue states, but mostly because it has failed to recognize three crucial developments over the past 25 years.
First, new technologies have proved the skeptics wrong. During the 1980s, President Ronald Reagan’s vision of defenses against ballistic missiles was dismissed as science fiction. Today, our nation has deployed ground-based interceptors, early warning satellites, land- and sea-based radars, and an integrated command, control, battle management and communications infrastructure. Together these components give us an emergency capability against a limited long-range ballistic missile attack, yet each of them, decades ago, was merely an “unproven” technology.
Research, development and deployment of today’s unproven technologies are the key to improving our defenses in the decades to come.
Second, the administration seems unaware of the sea change in international public opinion on the issue of missile defense. At the close of the 20th century, our allies and friends were still very skeptical of missile defense. Yet, consistent and patient diplomacy by the Bush administration changed all that. Today, our nation has cooperative agreements on missile defense with the United Kingdom, Denmark, Italy, Japan and Australia.
We are working with Poland and the Czech Republic to give NATO a missile defense capability, and with Israel to improve its defenses against medium-range rockets. India, France and many other nations have expressed interest in cooperating with us on these technologies. Cutting back on U.S. missile defense capabilities makes no sense when so many allies and friends want to deepen their cooperation with us.
Third, support for U.S. missile defenses now crosses partisan lines. Five of my colleagues, including Independent Joe Lieberman and Democrat Mark Begich, wrote President Obama following his administration’s proposed funding cuts for missile defense. They urged him to reconsider these recommendations and to continue development of an integrated, layered defense against the ballistic missile threat.
I share my colleagues’ concerns, as do millions of Americans across the political spectrum. The president has inspired so many with his vision of crossing ideological divides to pursue common, long-term objectives. Building the infrastructure of missile defense presents a tremendous opportunity to make that vision a reality.
President Obama, like every commander in chief, must make difficult choices to protect our people, advance freedom and defend our strategic interests. I applaud his surge of forces in Afghanistan and appreciate the additional defense capabilities he appears willing to fund. Yet I will oppose any cuts to missile defenses, and to any program that gives us a fighting chance to deter and defeat the security threats of the 21st century.

Who is Stupid Now? The Obama Follies!

After years of hearing how stupid Bush was, this Obama stunt beats anything Bush ever did! If you have ever been in the military overseas I would bet you knew that different parts of the world have different systems for their television and a DVD that works here, will not work in Europe, that is a no brainer one would think for a world leader, right?
I started to write about this sooner, but I waited to see if there was an excuse or “reason” that something like this could happen, but, all I have heard was that Obama wasn’t actually the person that selected the gift, that is some excuse. Honestly, 25 DVDs? Yes, it is some sort of “Collectors” set, but, with movies like ET, it sounds like he grabbed a handful of DVDs from that discount bin at WalMart! Mr Brown’s gifts included an ornamental desk pen holder made from the oak timbers of Victorian anti-slaver HMS Gannet, once named HMS President. Follow that link to read just what an embarrassment Obama is, maybe he snatched up some DVDs and toys he had given his kids because he showed up empty handed? Sounds likely to me, after all wouldn’t the leader of the free world have a little more pride in his country? Good grief, Brown gave him things of historical, not to mention, monetary, value! Hey, I didn’t vote for him!
Ok, so Obama didn’t actually pick this out, but doesn’t that reflect on his ability to select his staff? This is very embarrassing, but maybe, just maybe, the Europeans will see just what a boob the American welfare seekers have elected! Yes, he has “book-smarts” and in that aspect he may well be brilliant, but, common sense seems to be missing, at least Bush had that!

Economy Problems: Mexico Scares Me! Look-out for Chavez!
February 17, 2009 by OpinionHead

As the entire world is having economic problems, what is next? Mexico has always been a “Third-World” country, but it is getting even worse, much worse, so what happens if the Mexican government completely collapses? You know how many people are already coming here to get away and to make a living, if the entire thing down there goes bad, what will happen? Here is an article by Glenn Beck on FoxNews.com, “As Goes California, So Goes America”, read this for but one scenario, a very real situation, even if Mexico doesn’t fall apart.
Look at the events in Venezuela, Hugo Chavez has pretty much set himself up as dictator, and the idiots that live there voted for it! Hmm, reminds me a bit of our most recent Presidential election here! It just goes to show you, if you promise people something for nothing, they fall for it every time! What is really scary, and should give people even more reason to worry, is who Chavez’s friends are, look at the picture, Chavez and Ahmadinejad look pretty chummy!
I know why they are laughing, they are talking about how they and Obama are going to wreck the U.S. and take over the entire North American continent, like Canada would do anything. Ffirst it starts out socialism, then its communism! Why would any of that make Ahmadinejad happy? Simple, Chavez and Obama take the West, Putin takes Europe and Asia, and Ahmadinejad takes the Middle east and Africa! With America out of the way, since Obama is helping them, the disease of socialism can spread, the U.S. becomes a poor country, and then we are all here just wondering what happened! Funny thing is that nobody seems to know what is bad about socialism. You can’t blame Bush for that one!
Yes, that is a severely exaggerated opinion of but one possible scenario, and I pray to God that Obama is not going to let it go that far, but, my point is, It Could Happen! Remember “Yes, We Can” and “Change You Can Believe In” and all of the rest? Americans were acting like the lemmings down there in Venezuela, I have to say, I am embarrassed, I am a Proud American, and to see where we are headed is a big dissappointment.
There always have been poor people and there always will be. The whole point of Free Markets and Capitalism is so that if you work hard enough you can make it to the top, way above the bottom, the whole point of Socialism is to make everybody the same, and, if you look at Venezuela, that means everybody but the Dictator is poor! Yes, Capitalism can also be described as “Survival of the Fittest”, people and businesses may fail, but, it is that opportunity to make it back to the top!
I heard an old German saying that translates to something like this; A man who makes a lot of mistakes, works hard, A man who makes no mistakes, is a lazy dog! How many mistakes have you made?

What is up with Health Care? Where is the Crisis? Why all the hype? Health Insurance is Cheap!
April 15, 2008 by OpinionHead
This is 2008, and where is the best health care available? Here in the U.S.A.!
Have you ever lived in Europe? Have you ever actually paid for “Government” enforced health care? I have! I lived in Germany, as a civilian for about 5 years, and they took 10% of my pay to cover the cost of the “health insurance”, if you make $600 a month, that doesn’t sound bad, but, I made about 4K a month! That equates to what, 400 a month, that was just for me! My now late, ex wife, another example of the health care, also paid about the same, that is about 800 a month! Yes, my daughter, then a baby, was covered “free” under either one of us, what a bargain. At that time I was under 30 years old! Full heath insurance here in America would have been less than $200 a month, for all three of us! Wow, national health care is a great thing! Yeah right!
Here in the U.S.A. we have it made! If you have a “real” job, with benefits, you get it FREE! If you have a job, but not with a big company, still making a living, in the best country in the world, depending on your age, health insurance is still like $200 for an individual or less, that is cheap! My daughter, now almost 25, and still a student, in Germany, pays 15% of her part time paycheck! Her boyfriend, practically husband, is a banker, and also pays 15%, together, that is enough to cover at least twice if not 4 times what it would cost here, and that is if you are older, and unhealthy!
Here in America, the U.S.A., if you have no job, and no income, MEDICAID, is available! So, what is the problem? If you are like me, and served in the military, honorably, you have the VA to lean on! Thank God for that! I wrecked my back and can’t work, but, it is getting better, so I will soon. Anyway, what is the complaint? Are people too stupid? Maybe too lazy? Or, do they just want the government to do it for them? I don’t know, you tell me! Read more
