The reason powerful Leftists like Harry Reid get into politics is not to share the benefice of their enlightened and deeply philosophical ideology. Harry Reid got into politics to inflict his liberalism on the idiot plebes the way a rapist inflicts himself upon his victim. The man could care less whether the laws he passes help you little people. He sees no reason to hold himself accountable under those laws. The laws, you see, are for lesser beings, not Nietzschean Uber-Tools like Senator Harry Reid.
