A lesson in Humilitity!

This article is for those people who feel they are smarter than everybody else, that they know better because _______(fill in the blank). Yes, I am here to confess that this was me, I could never understand how if I knew the answer, no one else did, then, one day I was taught this lesson. I am not exactly sure who taught me this, but I will credit it to a Sargent First Class Jones, I think he was the one that told me this, when I was but 19 years old.

“Do you know how to recognize that you are dumber than everybody? It is when you feel like you are smarter than everybody! Always remember, there is something to be learned from anybody, wisdom comes from learning from everyone, and everything, not from a book, it comes from life,  and every day of life is a gift!”

Notice the word feel is underlined, and that the word think is not used, this is because we often feel things before we get a chance to think about them. When someone says something like, “what came first, the chicken or the egg?”, my first response is to feel, “what, are you stupid? that is an easy one!, when God created everything, he made a rooster and a chicken, they then made the eggs!” but, if I think about it, I have to remember, that some people do not believe in God, and if you take God out of the picture, it is hard to get answers to a lot of things!

Anyway, this is not an article just, about God, although it could be. When you here someone say something, and the first thing that happens is that you get that “what, are you stupid?”  feeling, think about what you heard, then, break it down as to what could have brought them to say whatever it was they said. I have to say, when it is something that is coming from one of those uppity, over-educated, college professor types, that have never spent a day in the real world, it is usually because of what I said before, about God, since they don’t teach anything about God in school anymore, how can a person, who has never been outside of school know Him?

Back to the topic, when SFC Jones, or whoever it was back then told me this, it was not because I was opinionated, but because I was a “smart-ass” and when called that, I would always respond with, “it’s better than being a dumb-ass!” which is what brought about the lesson in humility,  but, being a young hard-head, it took a while to sink in. Hmm, yep, it took life to teach me.

So, next time you are listening to a speech, from some Law School professor, who has never had a “real” job, and you get that “what, are you stupid?” feeling, just remember this lesson in humility, God is the one in charge, and no matter how smart you think you are, knowledge, without wisdom, is empty, like a gas can without gas, and, if you try to take God out of the picture, everything is empty!

If you should ever be the one that everybody is mocking, and laughing at, because they say that you have no knowledge, because you didn’t go to a big fancy school, remember, you can always get knowledge, but wisdom, that is a gift!

The Government vs The People, you decide!

Here we are, waiting for President Obama to give his first State of the Union speech, and I expect it to be another of his me, me, me, lectures, about how he and the Government can solve or have already solved all of our problems but we are just too stupid to notice it. If I hear him blame President Bush one more time my head is going to explode!

The government is not the answer it is the problem, only President Reagan said it, and it is the truth, and the people are finally standing up and putting their votes where their mouths are! Look at what Massachusetts did, talk about a slap in the face! I bet ole Teddy is rolling in his grave! He and the rest of the progressive liberals just knew this was the way to government control, but even the people of the most liberal state in the union have said that is enough!

I expect to hear Obama talk about how wonderful he is, and how much the American people suck, and how he will fix everything no matter how bad Bush screwed it up! Of course he is going to seem to move more to the center, but it will all be lies, just as usual. This year is going to be an upsetting time for those socialist bastards that want to take us over and ruin our way of life, because now that our eyes have been opened, we shall vote them out, each and every one of them! Regardless of what lies Obama spews tonight, We The People, will overcome!

Pay close attention to what the “Chosen One” says,  it will be nothing but a regurgitation of the same crap the progressives always spew! His spending freeze is a joke, he increased the spending, and now wants to lock it in so it cannot be cut! Obama talks out of both sides of his neck, the progressives will stand up and cheer, but the rest of us should see through the lies, it is nothing but a bunch of crap! Just another way to try to take over the country and turn us into something we are not and do not want to be! Who do you want to be in control, We the People, or, the Government?

Obama Wins: Now what?

Well, it happened, Barack Obama has defeated John McCain and will be the 44th President of the United States of America!

Listening to his speech, almost made me feel better about it, dang he can talk, so could Hitler, that is one of the reasons he won. I am sorry, but if you look at the map, and where he won, not just the states, but broken down by county, it doesn’t look like much, but those counties are where the big cities are, hmm, at least my state, Texas went the right way!

I am sorry if you were one of the people that were deceived by this man and his tax plans, just be ready for the fallout, when the taxes go up! It is either that, or all of those pretty socialist plans of his will get canceled.

SinceObama was elected, the whole country is going to have to get used to those San Francisco values of Nancy Pelosi and the other liberals that now will have complete control of our lives. I wonder how long it will be before he takes the guns away from us “bitter” Americans? Oh well, time will tell, maybe Texas will withdraw from the Union? Who knows, nobody yet, but it won’t take long to see.

While I am writing this, it sounds like the markets are all going to take a hit, we’ll see, may God bless and protect us, somebody has to, the voters didn’t do it!

Barack Obama: “I can no more disown him, than I can the Black Community” This tells us more than his words! You do not join a football team, if you do not like football!

I just really can’t believe I heard what I heard! Barack Obama talked, but he didn’t say anything! All he did was try to glamorize the hatred that his church and according to him, that the black community feels! “I can no more disown him, than I can the Black Community”, that is the quote that stands out, this is the quote that bothers me. His speech today was as his speeches always are, very eloquent, yet empty. I think that a post HotAir.com puts it best:

It’s essentially a non-distancing distancing, akin to the non-apology apology. He excuses Wright’s anti-American rhetoric with a mixture of rationalizations

Finally, Barack Obama sounds like a true politician! My feelings are this, I could never believe that ALL people in the black community, nationwide, could agree with the hatred espoused by that church! Afghan Student Sentenced to Death for Downloading Paper Against Islam

Did I read that right? Isn’t Afghanistan one of the good guys now? The only thing this guy did, was download and print a paper from the Internet that humiliated Islam? It seems to me that these actions by the court do more to humiliate Islam that any paper could, no matter what it said! Here is another twist, it was written by an Iraqi!

“We completely condemn this trial,” Samandar said. “It goes against the freedom of speech and the freedom of the press.”

Well, I sure hope they get this straight, doesn’t make them look too free if you ask me!
