Election 08: One story, two possible endings, it is up to us to decide!

Regardless of which candidate wins, this election is probably the most important of our lifetimes. This is where it gets difficult, it is also where we as a nation must consider all of the possibilities, all of the potential for good and bad as an outcome of this election.

There are two candidates, two men with completely opposite ideas, two men with completely opposite histories, two men with but one thing in common, they both want to become our nation’s next president!

One candidate wants to change not just our country but the whole world, below is a quote from a Pro-Obama Website.

Obama cannot radically change the established system of immoral capitalism, but he may incite new values for a humanised system like a better welfare, more social justice and more civil right. I am not quite sure of the success of Obama’s paradigm shift in the US, but contrary to some emotional expressions of Muslims, I think Obama’s intellectual charisma can contribute to break down any extremist ideology, including Islamism. His humanitarian and intellectual influence can trigger a shake-up of Islamist resistance in the world, including in the Muslim societies.

The other candidate, yes a Republican, but the far right does not like him any more than they do Obama! Below is an excerpt from the National Review.

It’s less than a year since he tried to push a disastrous immigration
bill into law — one as manipulative as any pork-laden appropriations
bill — with vigorous opposition from talk radio, conservative bloggers,
think tanks, and the grassroots. I don’t see how such a man wins the
Republican nomination.

So, if McCain’s own party hates him, how is it that he has won the nomination? In my opinion, America is divided into 3 groups, not just two. These three groups are Right, Left, and Middle, I myself am in the latter group. I also believe that most of America is in this middle group, some to the left of center, some to the right of center, like me,and others that are straight up and down in the middle! It is this middle group that has gotten McCain where he is, it is also this group that will vote him as the next president should he win.

Now, let’s do some speculation, that is all we can do at this point, but based on the histories of each man, their associations, and their base supporters.

What if John McCain wins, what will he do?

• Ok, we stay in Iraq until the war is won, thats ok with me.
• Maybe he will get his immigration deal done, thats ok too.
• John McCain will finally have the ability to do something about Bills that are full of Pork!
• Maybe he will get a couple of appointees to the Supreme Court? Well, they will probably also be somewhat moderate and won’t try to change too much, they will just interpret the Contitution as it was written, that’s ok too.
• I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin will shake up Washington, naming those that are responsible for our economic situation, regardless of how far back and how high up they must go! That would be a great thing!
• I believe that John McCain and Sarah Palin will get our energy issues under control through plans that help America, by creating new jobs and educating others to take these jobs, that sounds good.

Other than that, I know that everything he will do will be the best for our country and our National Security

What if Barack Obama Wins, what will he do?

• Raise taxes? He says he will cut them, now, but to implement his welfare plans, he will have to raise them, thats not good.
• Increase welfare with all sorts of government freebies, not good.
• We will get out of Iraq regardless of the outcome, that’s not good.
• Barack will show the world just how ignorant he is about how the world works by talking to dictators, hmm, maybe he wants lessons?
• Possibly appoint a couple of far left justices to the Supreme Court? Justices that will change our constitution instead of inforcing it like they are supposed to.
• Decrease our military, thus making our National Security at risk, that is really not good!

Other than, I can see no positive outcome if Obama gets elected and Changes our way of life like he wants to.

Now, what will “the people” do if Obama wins?

• Yes, you’ll hear the usual grumbling, I will sure be writing about each and every thing he changes for the worse, but other than that, there is not much I can do.
• There will be an increased awareness of how our way of life has been comprimised and next election, people will maybe understand what a mistake was made and it will be corrected, if it isn’t too late.
• I imagine the “winning side” will have a big party, you know, the kind that turn into riots! Have you seen what has beenhappening when local sports teams win or lose championships? Yeah, I can see that happening! I was at one once,when Germany won the World Cup, it was a lot of fun!
• Due to higher taxes, employers will have to cut jobs to stay in business.
• Maybe I’ll get a check?
• Of course the usual ranting about a stolen election, that will happen regardless who wins!

What will “the people” do if McCain wins?

• Keep their jobs, thats good!
• Be able to buy health insurance accross state lines thus saving money!
• We will have more choices for energy, so our bills will be less.
• We will hear the usual rant about an election being stolen!
• The losing side will have a big protest, I mean a big one, remember Rodney King? This Protest will make that look like a picnic! Hmm, pretty much the same thing if Obama wins! Except that winning means a party, losing means a protest, but either way it ends up as a riot!

Regardless of which man wins, and what happens afterward, the country will wake up and smell the coffee and hopefully be united in saving our country! Either way, The United States of America has a lot of work to do, I just hope we can do it together! May God Bless America and the American People, we need all the help we can get!

Presidential Debate: Obama vs McCain: Do they answer your questions?

Did you actually watch the debate? If so, here is my question, has Barack Obama ever actually answered a question?

I am sorry, again, to tell you that there is but one thing that Barack Obama says, and yes, he says it repeatedly, and that is that John McCain is the same as George Bush!

Unless you are a lemming, just running because everyone else is running, you might just ask a question! The truth is, John McCain has nothing to do with George W Bush!

So, look at everything but the basics as something different! Do they both believe that the American People should be in control, and not the government, but, who wants to take the taxes from all of us, just to support the welfare plans?

Obama has a problem, he wants to make ALL AMERICANS the same, like Europe, by taking so much money from the top, and spreading it all over, through welfare and other BIG Government programs.

After the “Crisis” he has tried to hide his plans by saying that some of the ideas that he has “may need to be put on hold”, as in Duh! If the country is hurting as a whole, who should be hit the hardest?

Let me put it this way, if you pay $50,000.00 a year in taxes, does that mean the person paying $500.00 a year in taxes needs a break? Think about it, where are you in all this, do you actually pay any tax? Do not be so selfish, your pennies will never match the dollars paid by others!

Yes, we are all hurting, but, do you want to pay for someone else’s mistakes? If you can only afford $1oo a month, why should anyone help you pay $500 a month? It is that simple!

This whole “crisis” is about the government pushing loans to low income people, like me. However, unlike me, these people that could afford $100 were given loans that required $1000! These garbage loans got packaged together and re-sold as investments, guess what, that was stupid! Both republicans and dumbocrats were responsible, but, to me it was about personal responsibility, not that of the government!

This is my suggestion, if you are broke, then save up to get those dreams. Have you ever heard of the American Dream? That is a long standing term, however, today, people like Obama, want to make it the American Right!  Please, do not ever think that anyone OWES you anything, just work, save, and then, make it happen!

Those that complain about “illegals” often forget to mention that these are the very people still working hard enough to realize that dream! The rest of us are what? Lazy? I can think of words worse than this, like “expectant” “spoiled” or worse!

So, please, all of you, that is everyone, get off your butts, work, and stop waiting for a handout!

Question: What is up with the world? Where are all the Patriots? Who are the Heros?

Watching the news on TV is a pretty depressing endeavor, not because of the news itself, but the way that it is interpreted and misunderstood by the majority, good things become bad, and bad things become good!

Today President Bush Honored a Hero, Michael A. Monsoor, who threw himself on a grenade, to save his buddies lives! Bush presented the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military award, to Monsoor’s parents. Read the full story here. This guy is what America used to be about! This guy was a true hero, not just because he saved his buddies, yes, that was a very special thing, but this guy was already a hero! He had pulled a fellow SEAL to safety before that, but even before he joined the militay he was a hero, just because of his dedication to the country, and his willingness to serve!

This is probably the part of that story that will get passed around, when President Bush just almost cried his eyes out! He was so choked up, I almost cried too! No, this was not a fake Hillary wimper, this man was seriously moved by the Hero he was honoring! I am sure that the way most will hear it will be twisted into making the President look bad.

Also today, General Petraeus, faced the presidential candidates and the committees they sit on, and of course Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, disagreed with Jon McCain when he argued that “much more needs to be done”, no surprise there, read this story here. The point I want to make is this, “If the Democrats are a sign of things to come, America is in trouble” Contrast Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama with the Hero, Michael A. Monsoor, and John McCain, a hero for surviving as a POW. Neither Clinton nor Obama ever served a single day in the military, they don’t deserve to be the Commander in Chief, who is the head of all the military, they haven’t earned it! Why would anyone want to become the President of the United States?

One must ask, Who would want to be the President of the United States? Well, obviously, there were several that did, but they have gotten weeded out one by one, and now there are but three possibles left, yes there are still a few that want to play like they can run, but that is just to make some sort of political statement, or gain some points in their little world of supporters, but, realistically, there are but three.

We all know who they are by now, Barack Hussein Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John Sidney McCain III, so what on earth could motivate someone to actually put themselves through the meat grinder of the political process?

If you haven’t noticed, everybody hates at least one of them, and obviously, many love at least one, but there are probably many more, that just don’t like any of them, so what does that say about America? We are one great big confused mess of people, that’s what! Our differences are what make our wonderful country so diverse and also so divided!

Why are there so many different views? Have you noticed that, whether anybody would ever admit it or not, we are a very socially segregated country? You can divide us up into all sorts of groups, by age, race, status, education, I could go on forever, how can we ever agree on one person?

Many of these groups will overlap with other groups, but there will always be divisions, just like cats and dogs, some get along, if they grow up together, but people are way more complicated than cats and dogs. Sometimes from serving together in the military, or going to school, we learn to play nice, but even so, we have our base group that we belong to, and many times it is something stupid that keeps us from getting along! I have seen discussions between friends get ugly if the subject of religion, or politics comes up! Is it no wonder that things get really ugly during an election?

Lets look at the candidates one by one and see what motivates them, remember, I am trying to hold back my opinion, but it will probably shine through, no matter how hard I try.

Barack Hussein Obama: This is a tough one for me to figure out, no matter how many times I hear or read what he wants, no where have I found out why! A simple question, right? I find no answer, here is a link to his website, go look for yourself.

The only thing I can put together, and that just from the most common word, “change”, this word is always used in a vague manner, it is always just change, change, change, but, what do you actually think he wants to change? What is it possible for him to change? Washington is what he says, but, what exactly? Do you think that a country that has evolved for what, 232 years, can change in 4 years? Even in 8? Not a chance! It is kind of like a freight train, it rolls down a track and takes a lot to stop it, wanna be in the car that gets in the way? I think not!

It takes a lot of training to drive a train, and an old engineer friend told me that stopping it is the hardest part, and takes years to get the job, how can a new guy even think he can just jump behind the controls and think he even has a chance?

Maybe he wouldn’t actually want to drive it? Maybe he just wants to crash it? I know if I tried to drive a train, that would be what happened!

Oh, have you heard about who is backing him now? Louis Farrakhan, now that is SCARY! Read this to find out why! Don’t forget Oprah, want her to drive the train? If Barack was going for an Emmy or something, she would be a help, or if he was just selling a book!

Ok, maybe, just maybe, somebody will get what is happening there, but lets move on.

Hillary Rodham Clinton: What can I say about her? Actually it is pretty obvious what motivates her, power! Being a woman that couldn’t control her hubby’s urges, never got her way while he was president, remember the train? She wants a second shot at it!

Hillary, as I bite my tongue, would be the lesser of two evils, she knows what can and can’t be done, and may actually bring some sort of realistic change, even a subtle one compared to the malarki coming from Barack, go check out her website and you will see that there is more of a plan than just the word “Change”.

The reason Hillary is getting beat up, is the fact that Barack is a great speaker, so was Hitler, he has fulfilled the fantasies of so many people, for so many reasons, she may be done for!

I feel ill saying this, but I kind of feel sorry for her, and the country for that matter! As much as I dislike her, and her hubby, that would be a much better option than what the Dems are choosing in Barack!

Her “mandatory” health plan is scary in theory, but will never happen, so that doesn’t worry me, her other socialist ideas, as bad as they are, in no way compare to the communist plans that Barack has, but, back to the train, they won’t happen either.So, on to my choice, and I will try to be fair, but, I can assure you that I will be honest!

John Sidney McCain III: What is this guys motivation? At least he says why he wants to be President, the other two don’t, read it yourself! Look at his past, as you should the other two, but only one of them has a past to look at, and she was just married to it!

No, I am not talking about a few years as a Senator, Barack and Hillary both have that, but, what about McCain, he has been an elected official since 1982! Many of Barack’s Supporters weren’t even born yet!

Before his public service began has was a P.O.W.! Come on, is that experience or what? My personal belief is that one prerequisite for being president, should be prior military service! Yes, I am a Vet! No, I would never want to be President!

Any person, who joins the military, puts his life on the line for his country, that is a far cry from law-school! Even in peace time, there are sacrifices that have to be made, ones that may seem trivial to a law student, but not to another Vet!

Back to the train, if experience is important to drive a train, McCain has that, he has been on that train for a long time, and not just as a passenger for a few years peeking out the window. He knows what obstacles may lie ahead, and how to deal with them.

Many look at the War on Terror as they would a video game, they don’t really like it, so they just want to turn it off! Sorry, the U.S.A. didn’t start that war, but we have to be the ones to finish it! We must win it! Unlike Europe and many of the other countries out there, the U.S.A. has a responsibility, since we are the biggest kid on the block, we must protect out friends and allies!

As far as change goes, McCain has been changing things for some time, and both the Republicans and the Democrats have fought him, but, he has brought compromise between the two, both may hate him for it, but he has done it! So, who is most likely to actually bring a “realistic” change?

Hillary gets whooped by Osama!

Today is a new day in the war on terror! The country (USA) is moving one step closer to surrender! Now becoming obvious, is the impending doom for Hillary, as Barack Obama takes her down another notch by defeating her handily in the primaries for today.

If you haven’t noticed, this Obama is gaining a lot of popularity, not just in the middle east, but here in the good ole USA! His “change” platform is really convincing the dumbocrats that he is a good guy. Not only has he gotten all of the kids out to vote, like they have a clue, he is getting the lions share of the rest of them as well. I can understand, almost, the fact that many african-americans will vote for him just because he is black, but what can you say?

If this guy gets elected, and gets his way, ending the war on terror, this country will pay for it! How is it that dumbocrats are so gullible? What in the world could make someone so ignorant to what is going on in the world? Has America gotten to the point of no return? Are we destined to be like Europe?

Has anybody seen the news lately? Europe is a nest for these extremists, now they are making these mentally impaired women carry bombs! They are using fake body parts to hide them too! If somebody, obviously not the rest of the world, doesn’t stand up to these islamic extremists, we will all suffer!

If you look at the total number of voters turning out, it is more than double, dumbocrats to the republicans, if that is an indicator as to what will happen in the general election in November, the bad guys will win! I can just see Bin Laden and his bunch starting to celebrate!

Another example of why Freedom isn’t Free!

Below is an excerpt from an article at CNN, this is just another example of what is going on in the world, and why the war on terror is so important. We must remain vigilant, always on guard, and go get the terrorists with an ever growing show of force! Come on world, wake up and smell the burning bodies! Stop ignoring this, if we don’t, this could happen in a city where you or I live!

He died in the hospital of wounds from the blast, said Thomassen’s newspaper, Dagbladets.U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon said the attack targeted Norway’s foreign minister, Jonas Gahr Stoere, who was uninjured in the attack.”I’m again very much surprised by this terrorist attack,” Ban said.Initially, Zemari Bashary, a spokesman for Afghanistan Interior Ministry, said the blast from the suicide bomber caused the casualties, but a witness disputed that report. (OpinionHead) The above article is an example of what is going on in the world today, these extremists just don’t care about anything but death and destruction!

I don’t think I could find anybody, except them, that would disagree with me that we have got to eliminate these terrorists! This radical ideology must be dealt with.

This is where I may find some disagreement, how do we remedy this? In my opinion, there are two things that must happen, then the third can happen, and only in this order will it work.

First, we go after the enemy, where they are, and start giving them the opportunity to meet those 72 virgins! Thus preventing them from coming here!

We’re not going to forget the fact that they kill without regard for the rules of war. They don’t value innocent life like we do. In America, we say everybody is precious, everybody counts. Everybody is equal in the eyes of the Almighty.

That’s not the way the enemy thinks. They don’t value innocent life. They’re nothing but a bunch of cold-blooded killers, and that’s the way we’re going to treat them.

Second, we obviously can’t harm the extremist economically, they live in caves and rubble now, so, we re-educate them. How do we reeducate them? By doing the first item until they are all gone! No, I don’t mean kill the people, but that ideology, Maybe, once they see we won’t quit until they are all gone, the extremists will be more, tolerant, accepting the fact that others in the world have a right to live, and that maybe they were wrong?

Third, now that they have an understanding that death gets them just that, and nothing else, maybe they will stop blowing stuff up, and the negotiation, diplomacy if you will, can begin. Only this time, it will be the “former” extremists begging to talk! As it is now, there is nothing to discuss, they just want us dead! I believe that once the general population in the problem areas get enough, they will push out the extremists themselves, as they have been in Iraq.

With this new understanding of how the world works, maybe we can rid the planet of these extremists!

Lets go back in time a bit, maybe you will remember this quote from March 31, 2003:

After our nation was attacked on September the 11th, 2001, America made a decision: We will not wait for our enemies to strike before we act against them. We’re not going to permit terrorists and terror states to plot and plan and grow in strength while we do nothing.

Yes, it was a long time ago, but it should still be fresh on our minds, and if you heard The State of The Union Address, January 20th 2004, you may remember this: (Proof that kicking butt works!)

Last month, the leader of Libya voluntarily pledged to disclose and dismantle all of his regime’s weapons of mass destruction programs, including a uranium enrichment project for nuclear weapons. Colonel Qadhafi correctly judged that his country would be better off and far more secure without weapons of mass murder.

Even then, there were those “on our side” that just don’t understand what is actually happening in the world, that was addressed in the same speech:

The terrorists and their supporters declared war on the United States, and war is what they got.

Those of you that feel our President is a “WarMonger“, need to realize what it is all about, freedom! Any Vets out there will tell you, “Freedom isn’t Free”, so, regardless of who you are, this quote may help you understand. This is from the speech the President gave when he was sworn in, January 20, 2005.

Today, America speaks anew to the peoples of the world:

All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know: the United States will not ignore your oppression, or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you.

Democratic reformers facing repression, prison, or exile can know: America sees you for who you are: the future leaders of your free country.

The rulers of outlaw regimes can know that we still believe as Abraham Lincoln did: “Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves; and, under the rule of a just God, cannot long retain it.”

The leaders of governments with long habits of control need to know: To serve your people you must learn to trust them. Start on this journey of progress and justice, and America will walk at your side.

And all the allies of the United States can know: we honor your friendship, we rely on your counsel, and we depend on your help. Division among free nations is a primary goal of freedom’s enemies. The concerted effort of free nations to promote democracy is a prelude to our enemies’ defeat.

Now you see my point of view on “The War on Terror“, yes war is ugly and people die, but, had the Vets of the past not defended our freedom, I would not have the freedom to write this!

How long will it take? Well, the Cold War lasted from 1947-1991, and that was easy compared to what we are dealing with now! Anybody that thinks we can just bring the troops home now is nuts!
