I received an email from someone calling themselves Sebastian. They had tried to register, but, unfortunately, there was a problem, which has now been corrected by the way, so I hope he comes back.
As I have always said, If you have an Opinion, this is the place for it! I believe that until we all get our viewpoints out there, and share our opinions, and have a discussion about our differences, no one will ever change their minds, that is what is wrong in this country now, those on the right, only associate with others on the right, the same goes with any other group, come on people, share your thoughts and opinions here!
Anyway, here is what I received in that email, which was a response to this post, Opinionated Book Review: Ted Nugent- Ted, White, and Blue.
Mr Nugent’s hypocrisy:
1) Regarding promoting war while being a draft dodger (you will not want to google what he claimed to have done to avoid the draft, it’s more than disgusting). You also neglected to mention that this man, who does not understand the trauma of war, advocates that health care and welfare for veterans be temporary. So he has even less respect for the sacrifice of health and peace of mind veterans make than the average recent Republican.
2) Regarding the expeditious execution of all paedophiles… would that be retroactive? Because at 21 years of age he started dating his future first wife when she was either 13 or 14 and I believe that is paedophilia under US law, and was in 1970. He’d certainly be listed on the sex offender’s register in the UK. Later in his 30′s he took out legal guardianship of a 17 year old Hawaiian girl to continue a relationship with her. That is pedophilia in 11US states.
Your site is shy on admitting who you people are but you have a perverted choice of role model.
Now, reading this made me curious, so I got to doing some research, first I’ll address the “Draft Dodger” issue.
Ted Nugent, in the above mentioned book, admitted that he was wrong back in those days, in Ted, White, and Blue, he says “I didn’t know if I was coming or going. I literally did not have a home of my own or an apartment. I slept on many a floor. I didn’t know anything, including how I got paid or even if I got paid for my music. I was young and naive. This is no excuse for my woeful and deep disconnect from the critical events of the world–and I don’t offer it as one–but it is the truth”.
That pretty much covers it all, I say. Back then, I guess he was a lefty liberal and didn’t even know it! That in itself explains a lot! The mugshot I found of the Nuge was not dated, but I believe it was some time ago, and yes he looks like a liberal to me! Regardless, he has admitted he was wrong, repented, and is doing as much as he can to help kids of today, not make the same mistakes that he did! Unlike Bill Ayers, he admitted he was wrong! Read the book if you have any doubts!
Now, back to the draft dodging issue, I found a website, News Hounds, and their slogan is “We watch Fox so you don’t have to.” Sounds just a bit biased wouldn’t you say? Follow that link to a post related to this subject and where I found the image below, that I will address now.
Here is an excerpt from that post.
(Nugent claims) that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment.
Now my question is, what happened to the people that are all about tolerance? The very people that promote rehabilitation over punishment? Somehow the people on the left don’t practice what they preach, and will use anything to knock someone on the right! Funny how that is.
I know you can’t read all of what is on this form, click the image to go to that site and look at it if you wish, but the reason I have it here is to point out a serious flaw in that form that you can see.
The dates involved, written on this form, are 1964 through 1972, but, if you look at the bottom of the form it says JUL 77! If you have evr seen an official government form, they do not date them in the future! In fact, most of the time they are used for years, so, if this was a “real” form, wouldn’t it have a date no newer than JUL 77?
Regardless of Ted Nugents past, it is his present and future that interest me. Of course I loved his music, always have, he may have once been a far left nutjob at one time, shouldn’t that make the lefties that now critisize him feel like he is or was, one of them? Maybe it is the “was” that makes them mad?
OK, so Uncle Ted grew up, doesn’t that just prove that it is possible for all of us, to, “grow up”?
The next area to be addressed is that of pedophilia, there are many stories that can be referred to, but the one I found at OperationAwareness.com covers it well enough for this writer, so go there and read it, there are links there to other sources as well. like the article Ted Nugent wrote on wacotrib.com, that express his feelings about what should happen to John Couey. However, I see no proof of him being a pedophile, in the sense that John Couey is. OK, how many Rock Stars get it on with young women? Do you think anybody checks ID’s?
If you were to go after every entertainer that “inadvertantly” banged an underage fan, there wouldn’t be any left! There is a big difference between any “relations” that might occur under these conditions. After all, how old were Elvis and Priscilla? Get real, these girls wanted what ever happened to happen or they would not have been there! That is entirely different from a murderous preditor, don’t you think?
Here is my personal opinion on how us humans deal with our past. I believe that if you are a hard core sinner and then come to Jesus, you will become a hard core Christian and work just as hard at not being a sinner as you did to be one, the problem in that case is that we are all sinners! Another example, if you were an extreme liberal then become a conservative, odds are, you will be an extreme conservative! Just read Ted’s book, it will tell you all that you need to know about him!

I’m sorry Kim, but if you have ever been backstage at a rock concert, the girls are doing everything they can to “hook Up”, that is just the way it is, does it make the girls bad? No? But, what is the performer supposed to do? Further research into Ted’s ‘draft dodging’ comments will lead you to the truth: Ted said them to a High Times reporter who, at the beginning of the interview, offered Ted a lit joint! Ted had a habit of telling ridiculous tales to idiots like that, just to see what got repeated. No one who really knows Ted’s philosophy believed it for a minute, and Ted, being Ted, figured if anyone WAS stupid enough to believe it, they weren’t worth the time to straighten out.
I think it’s hilarious that people still fall for it!
Ted is a close friend and has been for over 40 years. His first wife Sandy was the same age as him. Not a young teenager as you portrayed. Do your home work next time.
Regarding the date on the bottom of the government form: July of 1977 is when the Extract of Registrant Classification Record form was last updated (i.e., the form as it appears prior to being filled out). The requested information was provided via this form on 3/14/07 (lower right hand corner of the form).

Hey Chasbo, thanks for the comment. I have been a fan of Ted since I was a kid, and hopefully nothing that I wrote was in error. If there are, please point out where and what is incorrect. The purpose, or point of the article was all of the ruckus about Ted being something that I have seen no proof about, one way or another, and to ask the simple question, what were you like 40 years ago?
So, Chasbo, since you know Ted, why not ask him to come write an article about it? Or even com leave a comment to clarify, once and for all, wheter he was a draft dodger or even worse, this site gets a lot of traffic, people looking to find out more about Ted, the problem is, there is no information on the web. I read his book, and yes, it tells me everything I need to know, but for those on the far left, I don’t think there could ever be enough.

I’m aware of Ted’s colorful past. I think it’s safe to say we (most of us who are honest) have somewhat of one. I also know that he is not the same as he was back then, just as I am different now than then. It’s not my place to pass judgement on someone, that’s someone from way higher up’s job. I do like most of what he stands for now. I too feel like he does about murderers and repeat offender pedifiles. And I deffinately feel strongly about my right to own a gun to protect myself and family and will die to defend that right. If you take weapons away from people, criminals will still have them. They will always find a way to get them. These are things that I like about what he is about now days. So whatever he did back then, all I can say is hopefully he has made peace with. I just hope he keeps up the work he is doing now. So you have your opinion and fine. This is mine.

I believe actions speak much louder than words. Ted Nugent's actions most likely are the true indicator of who he is and what he believes. It is so easy to support unnecessary war now that he is at an age where it would be impossible to be drafted. Like most conservatives, there is a complete disconnect between what he says and what he does.
CarpetGuy, would you care to write an opinion about Bill Clinton using the same standards you apply to Ted Nugent?

Sure, if it were applicable, what Ted Nugent did in his twenties is different than what Clinton did during his presidency. Sorry, but I fail to see the comparison. I know that if I was in my 20′s and a Rock & Roll Superstar, I would have been nailing everything! Isn’t that what all twenty year olds do? But a president, come on. However, if you are referring to Clinton’s “not inhaling” I would say hey, does that mean he admits inhaling now?
Last time I checked, there was no current draft. Duh.
Really, I am disgusted that Ted gets taken seriously by anyone in my party. He IS the monster he wants to kill, what a hypocrite.
As to the Clinton comparison, well think about it. Clinton had sexual relations with a consenting ADULT. Was is disgusting? yes, it was. He totally used his power as POTUS to screw a young admiring intern. Shameful as hell.
Ted on the other hand had sex with children who CAN NOT consent. He used his power as a rock star to get into the panties of little girls. This makes him a pedophile and a monster.
I don’t know about you, but I am the father a lovely young woman. I can tell you that if some predator like Ted Nugent came anywhere near my daughter when she was a teen I would have blown his filthy head off.
Do I care that he has repented? Not really, and neither would he from the looks of his own article.

Ted may have been that monster, I think he married one or two of those “kids”, but remember, he was young then too. I know when I was twenty, a 16 was acceptable, in fact, a lot of things were, like drinking and driving for example, heck, here in Texas, you weren’t a “real” Texan unless you had a sixpack of Lone-Star on your dash while you were driving, I mean, the times were much different. I don’t know about you, but I have done a lot of “growing up” and would not do what I did as a kid, combine that with the changes in our culture and yes, Ted looks like a monster. Just remember the TV show, “The Beverly Hillbillies” and granny all upset that Ellie Mae was single, an old maid if you will, back then, girls of 13 married men of 30, that was normal.
I look at it this way, whatever Ted Nugent did or didn’t do wrong, or any of us for that matter, is between the individual, and God. Remember, however you judge others is how you will be judged, and I am already a mess, I don’t need judging others on my list too, at least I try not to, unless you are a Socialist Dictator Wanna-be, then, I just can’t help myself!
